Yu Ping, CEO

Mr. Yu Ping energy conservation and environmental protection in the car has a very rich experience. Yu Ping graduated from Tsinghua University in 1995, Automotive Engineering, later served as GM China engineer, engineering project manager in charge of GM vehicles in China, clean energy project. In 1996-1998 he lead the GM China Science and Technology Commission team participated in the national leadership of the national electric vehicle demonstration projects. In 1999, he led the gas - gasoline dual-fuel vehicle development, and in 1999 Shanghai International Auto Show introduction of dual-fuel vehicles Buick Century. Yu Ping, the United States to study after 1999, has obtained a master's degree in Automotive Engineering University of Michigan and an MBA from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Five years later, he was appointed General Motors U.S. headquarters in hybrid vehicle engineer, Global Hybrid Strategy and Planning Manager and other staff. Mr. Yu Ping returned in 2008, and Dr. Cai Wei, co-founder of the Automotive Electronics Technology, and served as CEO.

 

William CAI, PhD.  Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

Dr.William Cai is one of the world's leading experts on automotive propulsion motors, power electronics, and high performance hybrid/electric vehicles. Dr. Cai received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering at Harbin University of Science & Technology (HUST) and his PhD in electrical and computer engineering at Clarkson University, USA.  In 1985 to 1994, he served as instructor and then Professor in EE Department at HUST, China, researching on numerical calculation of electromagnetic fields, electric machines and e-drive for electric vehicles.  In 1994 to 1995, he served as a visiting professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, USA, developing multi-phase motors for electric vehicles and e-drive systems.  In 1996, he worked as a senior scientist at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology-Zurich, Switzerland, focusing on permanent magnet reluctance motors with low torque ripples for hybrid & electric vehicles; He also engaged in high-speed flywheel energy storage systems for space and locomotive applications.  In 1997 to 1999, Dr. Cai completed his PhD at Clarkson University, involving in vibration and noise reduction of switched reluctance motors.  In 1999, Dr. Cai joined Remy International, USA, a leading e-motor supplier in the automotive industry.  During his career at Remy, Dr. Cai patented numerous technological advancements on electric machines including famous “hairpin” motor windings, and developed propulsion motors for hybrid vehicles like Chevrolet Tahoe, Cadillac Escalade, BMW X6, Benz ML450, Chrysler Aspen and Allison Transmission etc.  In 2008, Dr. Cai left his job as Hybrid Technical Director & Chief Engineer, and co-founded Jing-Jin Electric in Beijing, China, serving as the Chief Technology Officer.
